Magic of Lights® Holiday Display

The iconic Daytona International Speedway transforms into a Holiday Heaven during the Magic of Lights® Holiday Display. Take the family and drive through the 1.5-mile display, which features over a million of the latest in LED bulbs and all-new digital animation technologies that have been specially created for the “World Center of Racing.” For more information on ticket pricing for cars, motorcycles, vans, limos, and buses, CLICK HERE. The event takes place daily through New Year’s Eve from 6 to 10 p.m. November 22-28, then from 7 to 10 p.m. November 28 through January 1. Ticket holders can drive through twice on Tuesdays (excluding Christmas Eve.)

DeBary Hall Historic Site Candlelight Tours

Take a step back in history with a DeBary Hall Historic Site Candlelight Tour. Originally a hunting retreat for a wealthy steamboat line owner, DeBary Hall offers interpretive exhibits that give a glimpse into the lifestyle of the late 1800s. During the holidays, the historic site is aglow with holiday adornments, Christmas decorations, and old treasures. Explore the lodge on a candlelight tour and hear the story of the Christmas Orange, followed by refreshments. This experience is recommended for visitors aged 12 and older; call (386) 668-3840 for reservations.

Daytona Beach Boat Parade

Holiday cheer gets a nautical twist at the Daytona Beach Boat Parade, a favorite local tradition that’s back for another year on Saturday, December 7, at 6 p.m. Boats will be extravagantly decked out with twinkling lights and holiday décor to cruise the Halifax River, and you can experience the magic free of charge. Viewers post up watch along bridges, causeways and river shorelines, and it all culminates at Halifax Harbor Marina. What a unique way to celebrate Christmas in Daytona Beach!

Christmas at Peabody Auditorium 

The Peabody Auditorium schedule features several holiday-themed shows. Mannheim Streamroller Christmas tour is set to feature classic Christmas songs from their holiday albums along with multimedia effects in an intimate setting during their concert on Nov. 15 at 7:30 p.m. Witness the Volusia Civic Ballet’s “The Nutcracker” on Dec. 2-3, which in addition to the full-length production, will also offer a condensed narrated Family Series show. On Dec. 19, Celtic Woman A Christmas Symphony will provide the rare opportunity to hear Celtic Woman’s angelic harmonies with the thrilling live sound of a full symphony orchestra.

Drive with your headlights on and at least one front window completely open
Limited parking
Parking is not allowed in front of three beachfront parks:

  • Sun Splash Park, Daytona Beach
  • Frank Rendon Park, Daytona Beach Shores
  • Flagler Avenue Park, New Smyrna Beach

One-way traffic
Motorists may drive from north to south only in these areas:​

  • International Speedway Boulevard south to Silver Beach Avenue in Daytona Beach

Here are some other ways you can make the beach safe and enjoyable for everyone:

  • Always swim directly in front of a lifeguard.
  • The 10 mph speed limit is strictly enforced. Violators will be fined $116 and up.
  • Alcohol and glass containers are not allowed.
  • Pets are not allowed on the beach except service animals required due to a disability, as governed by the Americans with Disabilities Act.
  • Music or noise that can be heard from more than 50 feet of the source is illegal.
  • It is illegal to disturb dune vegetation.
  • Driving or parking in the conservation zone is prohibited.
  • Personal watercraft operators must stay in the proper zones and wear a helmet at all times.
  • Grilling on the beach – Beachgoers are permitted to grill on the beach. If using charcoal to grill, beachgoers must take the charcoal with them and properly dispose of it off of the beach. Charcoal cannot be disposed in the beach trash/recycle containers and it may not be put in the sand.

Please help us protect the beach environment

  • Don’t disturb a turtle that is crawling to or from the ocean or laying eggs. Watch from a distance.
  • Avoid shining lights on the beach at night as this may frighten away nesting females and interfere with the baby turtles’ ability to find the sea.
  • Avoid walking or cycling in places posted as nesting areas.
  • Immediately report any injured or dead sea turtle to the nearest Volusia County Beach Safety employee.
  • Do not disturb markers or protective screening over turtle nests. These nests are being studied and protected.
  • Avoid walking on the dunes along the beach.
  • Don’t disturb nesting sea birds.
  • Don’t litter. Cigarette butts, fishing line and other trash can harm the animals and birds along the beach.
  • Do your part to spread the word about environment-friendly habits on the beach.
